Fito do your thing....Yes now in all fairness....se tuye nap tuye atis nou yo vre....My approach to music has always been to do shows of that nature...and we were fortunate in Zepon to get some well paid gigs for little time...so I can really relate to what Fito is saying.
Long hours, long drive, long flights and often our artists are like they are living in their suitcases...and having to carry the load of keyboards and other devices around the globe in order to put the daily bread on their tables...As an artist is getting older the more they don't want this life and the more they see the load getting heavier, and the trips much longer. After all when you spend a lifetime playing for the same people even when you travel to different towns you will end up performing for the same communities during the course of the year. So it's normal that a band like Carimi started to evaluate the JOB in terms of DOLLARS AND HOURS OF WORK and hours of work in all fairness must include travel, and set up and break down time not just the play time...Too bad it will not be like that for every gig for the band because the mainstream arena is the Haitian Society and they will have to do the time for the little tcho tcho...and face the same promoters and demanding crowd...
